Meet Our Director
Hi, I’m Charmaine, your Center Director at Bright Heights! I’ve been at Bright Heights for 20 years, but my passion for working with children started even earlier. My love for the early childhood field began in high school when I obtained Occupational Childcare training. I continued my journey by attending Norfolk State University and earning my CDA as well as numerous childcare-related trainings and awards.
The day-to-day interactions with the children and planning the center’s parent engagement activities are some of my favorite elements of the job. I love watching the children grow and creating a safe space for parents to feel comfortable leaving their children.
